Over the years, the tax code has seemingly become more and more complicated. Because of this perception, many think that finding tax breaks is not worth the struggle. It is thought that the effort expended to discover them is not worth the benefit. An Ambassador Baptist College gift annuity can provide you future income, a tax deduction, and the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping train young people for the ministry.
In simple terms, a Charitable Gift Annuity is a gift that is a contractual agreement between the donor and ABC. This legal contract states that ABC agrees to pay the donor(s) a lifetime income. Upon the death of the beneficiaries, the remaining principal is available to Ambassador Baptist College to help train people for the ministry.
Charitable Gift Annuities may be funded with cash, appreciated securities, or real estate owned for at least one year. The payments can be distributed annually, semi-annually, or quarterly. The size of the payment is dependent on several factors: the age(s) of the annuitant(s), the number of annuitants, and the value of the contribution.
Most folks who choose the CGA are retirees who want to increase their cash flow, enjoy the security of guaranteed payments, and receive a savings on their taxes. Others choose a CGA to provide financial assistance to an elderly parent or sibling. The gift of a CGA can benefit you, your family, and Ambassador Baptist College.
While consulting your financial planner or tax advisor, you may discover that a Charitable Gift Annuity may be for you. If you would like more information concerning the CGA program at Ambassador Baptist College, please contact Larry Burris at 704-434-0303 or ude.srodassabma@eciffoecnanif.
