PT 430.6
Youth Ministry Internship
6.0 Credit Hours
The student spends a minimum of eight weeks (320 hours) working with an approved local church under the direct supervision of the pastor of that church, during which time the student will observe and participate in the pastoral and youth ministries of that church.
PT 440.6
Missionary Internship
6.0 Credit Hours
The student spends a minimum of eight weeks (320 hours) on the mission field working with an approved missionary under the direct supervision of that missionary, during which time the student will observe and participate in the ministry of that missionary.
PT 450.6
Music Internship
6.0 Credit Hours
The student spends a minimum of eight weeks (320 hours) working with an approved local church under the direction of the pastor and/or music director of that church, during which time the student will observe and participate in the total ministry of the church with particular emphasis on the musical ministry.
PT 460.6
Church Ministries Internship
6.0 Credit Hours
The student spends a minimum of seven weeks (280 hours) working with an approved local church under the direct supervision of the pastor and/or secretary of that church, during which time the student will observe and participate in the Christian ministry of that local church, with emphasis on working in the women’s or children’s ministries, as well as gaining experience in the church office. In addition, the student must also complete PT 208 as part of the internship requirements.

Student Teaching Internship
6.0 Credit Hours
This is an eight-week period of observation and teaching in the classroom under the supervision of the college faculty, and administrator and classroom teacher at an approved Christian elementary school. Pre-requisite: senior standing, completion of required courses for the degree in Elementary Education. Minimum of one semester after completing PT 210 Practicum.

The Preacher and His Ministry
1.0 Credit Hour
A practical seminar dealing with the problems and opportunities of everyday life in the ministry. The courses will be taught on a two-year rotation. The student is required to take the particular course offered each semester he is attending classes on the graduate level, up to a maximum of two years. The course requirements are in addition to the 32 semester hours required for graduation.

The Preacher and His Ministry
1.0 Credit Hour
A practical seminar dealing with the problems and opportunities of everyday life in the ministry. The courses will be taught on a two-year rotation. The student is required to take the particular course offered each semester he is attending classes on the graduate level, up to a maximum of two years. The course requirements are in addition to the 32 semester hours required for graduation.
PT 507.3
Homiletics
3.0 Credit Hours
An introductory study of the preparation and delivery of sermons with special emphasis on types, content, and sources of material for sermons. Classroom presentation is required, and constructive criticism is given.
PT 508.3
Expository Preaching
3.0 Credit Hours
A consideration of the steps involved in effective expository preaching including a careful exegetical study of the passage, creative practical arrangement of the sermon material, and dynamic pulpit presentation. Pre-requisite: PT 307.3/507.3 or equivalent.
