Thessalonian Epistles

2.0 Credit Hours

An expositional study revealing principles for living the Christian life in the light of the imminent rapture of believers and the subsequent revelation of Jesus Christ.

BI 429.2

Prison Epistles

2.0 Credit Hours

An analytical and expository study of Ephesians through Philemon, with an emphasis on the Christian’s walk and relationship to Christ.

BI 432.2

Pastoral Epistles

2.0 Credit Hours

A study of I & II Timothy and Titus, emphasizing the need for preaching, practicing, and protecting sound doctrine. (BI 206.3 is recommended prior to this course.)

The Corinthian Epistles

2.0 Credit Hours

A study of the background and a basic analysis of these books, giving God’s answers to major problems in local churches and the Apostle Paul’s defense of his ministry.

I & II Peter and Jude

2.0 Credit Hours

A study of I & II Peter and Jude, emphasizing the believers’ suffering and glory and their need to stand against false teaching and false teachers.

World Religions

3.0 Credit Hours

The doctrines of the major functioning religions of the world are analyzed to see how they compare with the doctrines of the Bible.

Hebrews

2.0 Credit Hours

A study of the background and a basic analysis of Hebrews, with an emphasis on the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Elements of Hebrew

3.0 Credit Hours

A study of the basic principles of the alphabet, vocabulary, and grammar of Biblical Hebrew. Selected passages from the Hebrew Bible are translated and analyzed. Pre-requisite: BI 215.3 and BI 216.3, or equivalent, or permission of instructor.

History of the English Bible

2.0 Credit Hours

This course addresses present day issues related to questions about inspiration, preservation, and English Bible Versions. Biblical and practical answers are presented for frequent questions about or objections to the use of the King James Version as well as questions about the ever-increasing number of modern versions.
