Biblical Answers to Calvinism
2.0 Credit Hours
This course examines modern theological positions that oppose a Biblical view of Soteriology and related doctrines. Particular attention will be given to the influence of Calvinistic teachings and writings on Baptist churches on contemporary theology. Biblical answers and approaches to these challenges will be taught.

New Testament Textual Criticism
2.0 Credit Hours
An examination of the methods employed in textual criticism with special emphasis on the reliability of the Received Text. Pre-requisite: BI 316.3 or equivalent.

Minor Prophets
2.0 Credit Hours
The chronological order of the twelve minor prophets is set forth, along with the background, theme, date, and author of each book. Each prophet is surveyed, noting especially the prophecies of long-range importance to Israel.

Hebrews and General Epistles
3.0 Credit Hours
A study of the backgrounds and a basic analysis of the books of Hebrews through Jude.

General Bible Introduction
2.0 Credit Hours
A study of the process by which God gave us the Bible, including revelation, inspiration, illumination, canonization, and preservation, with emphasis on why we should use the King James Version of the Bible.

Current Trends in Theology
2.0 Credit Hours
A study of current trends in theology, including an investigation into the leaders, thinking, and results of these movements. Includes a study of fundamentalism, liberalism, new evangelicalism, the modern charismatic movement, the new age movement, Dominion theology, and feminism.

Pauline Epistles
3.0 Credit Hours
A study of the background and a basic analysis of Romans through Philemon. Major themes and doctrines of each epistle are emphasized.

Hermeneutics
2.0 Credit Hours
A study of the science of Biblical interpretation following the dispensational approach, with emphasis on the literal, historical, and grammatical method of interpretation. Some difficult passages are given special attention.

Christology
2.0 Credit Hours
A systematic study of the person and work of Jesus Christ, His deity, humanity, death, burial, resurrection, and exaltation.
BI 512.2
Soteriology
2.0 Credit Hours
A systematic study of the Biblical doctrine of salvation. Includes a study of some of the great doctrinal words like repentance, election, faith, adoption, regeneration, sanctification, justification, etc.
