At the conclusion of every academic year, several privately-funded scholarships
are awarded to students. We are pleased to announce the addition of the Ron Tobin Memorial Scholarship, which is funded by Tomah Baptist Church in Tomah, WI.
Dr. Ron Tobin pastored Tomah Baptist Church for more than 34 years. He faithfully gave himself to the calling of God by serving with a pastor’s heart, loving the local church, and having a sincere burden for souls. This ministry was marked by compassion, conviction, and the desire to see lives changed by the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. He understood the value and importance of preparing the next generation to carry the Gospel forward.
Throughout his ministry, Pastor Tobin demonstrated a deep appreciation for Christian education. He invested in young people and encouraged them to seek God’s will for their lives. He was especially burdened to see young men and women surrender for the ministry. This scholarship is given to encourage a rising senior at Ambassador Baptist College who is preparing for pastoral ministry.
This year’s scholarship was awarded to Nathaniel Perry in memory of Pastor Ron Tobin’s faithful example, support for Christian education, and his desire to see young people enter the ministry. His influence will continue through the people he served and those who receive this scholarship in the future.
Churches and individuals may inquire about setting up a memorial scholarship in memory of a loved one by contacting Business Manager Jeremy Buschman at jbuschman@ambasssadors.edu.
